It’s now been three weeks since Cities: Skylines was launched. Let’s have a look at the best mods out there. Here is my Top 15 mods from March 2015. All these mods are downloadable from Steam Workshop.
Of course chirper is first, what else could it be? I have to agree, chirper’s position is quite irritating, but with this mod you can easily move it. In fact it’s draggable now!
Perhaps the most popular mod for Cities: Skylines. This mod unlocks all 25 map tiles. I don’t think you can run out of space anymore. Or maybe someone could make a 81 tiles mod…?
With this mod you can simply build roads while Natural Resources info view is on. Pretty handy.
The name tells everything. I don’t understand why this is not in the vanilla game, but now Colossal Order, forget it. We can use this excellent mod.
FindIt allows you to search for every object in your city which has a name. For example cims, cars, buildings, seagulls…
If FindIt wasn’t enough, with this modification you can pick your favourite citizens to a tracking-list.
Traffic Management is a huge part of this game. This tool is handy for finding out where the heck the traffic is going.
Another traffic-mod. But this is extremely useful. With this mod enabled, you can indeed choose whenever you want traffic lights to appear in the intersection or not.
Again, the title tells everything. Making super-complicated road networks is a lot easier with this mod because now you can have floating roads. 😛
Now this mod is comptetely visual, but I think it’s still essential. “See your city from a different perspective. Explore the game in first-person mode or look through the eyes of any citizen or vehicle.“
This is just a beautiful mod. You can’t live without this after you have tried it. Adds sun shafts to the game.
Do you want to combine a flight simulator and a city builder? Of course you want! There you go, this is the mod for you.
Extends the public transport UI with additional list views and toggles for bus, metro and train. Nice one, and essential.
Is your city full of abandoned houses? This mod bulldozes your abandoned and burned buildings automatically. Works well. 🙂
Is your city collapsing while you are building your super awesome highway system? This one adds a panel to display vital city stats at a glance. Very useful.
I hope you enjoy the mods. We have an awesome modding community!
